Lasalle’s roots date back to the 1700s and the town was named after French explorer Rene-Robert Cavelier de la Salle. The Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex is home to many different activities for people of all ages. It includes 2 NHL-sized ice pads, a gym, pool, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, running trails, an outdoor amphitheatre and lots of parking.

Hockey lovers can cheer on the town’s Junior B team, the Lasalle Vipers who play at the Vollmer or drive to Detroit in less than 30 minutes to cheer on the Red Wings!
